Press Vibration Isolator Types and Selection Criteria

Press vibration isolators are used to combat vibration pollution and to protect the work environment from machine vibration that occurs while forming products, thereby preventing adverse effects on people (operators), objects (machine tools) and the external environment (nearby homes and residents).  Although it can be difficult to completely eliminate vibration because of the actual production conditions and the installation environment, AIDA takes into account the press weight, excitation force, center of gravity, and production speed to select the optimal vibration isolation countermeasures.

The following is an overview of the types and features of the vibration isolators used for AIDA presses.

①Rubber-Spring Type (for general-purpose and midsize presses)

・ Compact. Delivers excellent vibration resistance.
・ Easy to mount on presses and to level.
・ Acts in the shear and torsion directions as well as in the compression direction.

② Disc-Spring (for midsize and large presses)

・ Combines disc springs with high-performance dampening properties to achieve excellent vibration resistance.
・ Excellent durability.
・ Compact yet able to withstand large loads.

③ Coil-Spring Type (for high-speed presses)

・ Wide usage range spanning from high-load to low-load applications.
・ Maintenance-free and highly durable.
・ Includes viscous dampers that generate a dampening force proportional to the variations in speed.

④ Air-Spring Type (for precision high-speed presses)

・ Leverages the compressibility of air to deliver excellent anti-vibration performance and durability.
・ Easy height adjustment with independently adjustable load capacities and spring constants.
